VIDEO: "Power Rangers" movie review for KSL-5 TV (SPOILER FREE)

March 24, 2017

Andy Farnsworth joins KSL Today hosts Andrew Wittenburg and Lori Prichard on KSL-5 TV to talk the new movie POWER RANGERS--a big budget remake of a low-budget TV show in the 1990's. Five teenagers discover ancient coins that give them superpowers so they can defend a crystal (that gives life to the entire planet Earth) from the evil alien Rita Repulsa (played by Elizabeth Banks). Andy wasn't a big fan of the 90's TV show but actually liked a lot of what the new movie has to offer.  The humor and nods to the original were appreciated, but what he liked best was that the movie was relatively interesting even though filmmakers didn't rush to have them morph or use their Zords. POWER RANGERS stars Becky G as Trini the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack the Black Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as Jason the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly the Pink Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy the Blue Ranger, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Bill Hader as Alpha 5. It's distributed by Lionsgate Films
