The LEGO BATMAN MOVIE is everything we hoped it would be

February 10, 2017

The jokes in THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE begin even before pictures appear on the screen, and they don't stop until the final credits.  SLC Fanboys' Andy Farnsworth reviews the sort-of sequel to 2015's LEGO MOVIE, and wonders why the live-action DC Universe can't seem to find this winning mix of humor, heart and action that a 2-hour toy commercial manages to do.  Will Arnett (Arrested Development) returns as Batman, a loner superhero living with his butler Alfred (voiced by Ralph Fiennes).  Batman (accidentally) adopts Dick Grayson/Robin (voiced by Michael Cera), tries to to figure out how to work with Commissioner Barbara Gordon (Rosario Dawson) while battling the Joker (Zach Galifinakis), who just wants Batman to admit who is his greatest villain. In between all this, there are cameos from just about every Warner Bros property, other guest voices galore, and the amazing use of Legos in every form imaginable.
