Cult comedies you need to see - September 29, 2016

September 29, 2016

Is there a movie that's one of your favorites but it seems like nobody else has seen it? The SLC Fanboys have three such movies! Andy Farnsworth says he was inspired by a recent recommendation of "Johnny Dangerously" to come up with his favorite comedy that nobody's seen. His choice is "Oscar," a mobster comedy starring Sylvester Stallone. Adam Thomas went with a Coen Brothers movie- "The Hudsucker Proxy," which bombed in limited release in the mid-1990's. Starring Tim Robbins and Paul Newman, the movie is a wild fictional comedy about corporate fraud surrounding the release of the Hula Hoop. Finally, Tysen Webb went with another Coen Brothers movie that we suspect isn't getting enough attention after all of these years. "Raising Arizona" was released in 1987, but each of us can hum out the theme song. Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter, along with John Goodman as one of the villains, put together a comedy you have to see!
