Why the little things, and doing them correctly, matters: “Little Book of Life Skills” author Erin Zammett Ruddy (Episode 134)

January 11, 2021

The start of a new year provides not only a great opportunity to evaluate where you are and to set new goals (as we talked about in Episode 133), but it’s also a great chance to learn and refresh some key life skills.
Today’s guest is just the person to help us do that. Erin Zammett Ruddy is a magazine editor, writer and the author of a terrific book called “The Little Book of Life Skills.”  She has compiled an incredibly thoughtful list of some 152 skills and things you need to know how to do. She turned to her massive rolodex and some of the world’s foremost experts for their perspective on how to do everything from decluttering to delivering bad news. While I think you’ll love the skills, there’s a much bigger message in why doing these often minor tasks correctly matters.
