Mindset: the power to bounce back (Episode 132)

December 22, 2020

The year 2020 has reminded us of the need to try to make the best of things. For many people, the year has meant tremendous loss and setback, not to mention tremendous stress.  As I reflected on the year and on some incredible conversations we’ve had on the podcast, one of the themes that jumped out was this idea of “growth mindset.” In Episode 132, I share some perspective around the idea, attributed to Professor Carol Dweck, Ph.D., Stanford University psychologist, researcher and author of “Mindset,” along with a couple of great examples from my conversations earlier this year. How we approach setback, and disappointment, can directly impact our ability to bounce back and to tap into the creative resources needed to continue moving forward.
As we look to a new, but still uncertain year ahead, I hope the lessons in all our episodes will provide you with insights and perspective to tackle whatever lies ahead.
SEEKING YOUR INPUT: I’m busy planning some great content for 2021, and would love your input and feedback on the past year. What episodes, guests, and topics resonated, and what would you like to hear more about? Please send me a note!  And, if you have a few extra minutes and are listening on Itunes, please click the REVIEW link and leave us a review. The more reviews the better the chance others who would appreciate this content will be able to find it. I’d be so grateful for your help!
I wish you and yours a wonderful, safe and happy holiday season! Make you make it fun and memorable, even if it’s not what you were originally planning. Xo
