Unprecedented times we ‘re experiencing is causing #fatigue- amongst us all and our connections with ourselves and others - including our sexual wellbeing. If you’re feeling fatigued - low energy, unmotivated, as if everything is a struggle - You are not alone! Fatigue has set in the past month amidst the uncertainty of the #lockdown, #blm, job instability - it's all been incredibly stressful, scary, depressing and anxiety provoking - for us all. Fatigue is a silent aggressor that can lead us to feel unproductive, lazy and nothing near sexy. Most of us, very much including me, disconnect from ourselves and others, rather than harnessing our sexual energy to refuel.
This week's episode of Sex Marks the Spot, I provide a few proven tips on how to manage fatigue and prioritize your sexual wellbeing. Listen in to learn how these can help refuel your sexual energy.
- Pacing yourself- in and out of the bedroom
- Planning for sexual pleasure when you feel most energetic (yes, scheduling sex can be fun too!! Spontaneity can absolutely be a part of the process!!)
- Pampering and preparing yourself to condition your body to associate sex with reward and self-care
On first glance these tips may seem like - meh, these aren't gonna help. Trust me and trust research that these small shifts can lead to big differences. Give it a try, and keep on trying- your body has gotten conditioned over the past several months to stay in this threat zone, so it's going to take consistent practice to teach it a new direction:) Have fun, experience bliss and enjoy!! We all can use some joy at the moment!!
