Dr. Sandra San Miguel is literally a cape-wearing trailblazer. Her story weaves from being a first-generation college student to becoming a boarded specialist in swine medicine, Associate Dean for Engagement at Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and creator of the League of VetaHumanz, a veterinary superhero group (yes, you read that correctly!)  Listen as she talks about how a conversation with a third-grade student ignited her mission to increase representation in veterinary medicine and led to her developing children’s books that give young people exposure to all the possibilities in this field.
