He is the founding Director of the Neuroregeneration Research Institute at McLean Hospital, Professor of Neurology (Neuroscience) at Harvard Medical School, Professor of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and was elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He is the author or co-author of over 300 scientific research publications in neuroscience and neurology and three books in his field.
