My guest this episode is Michelle Stevens. She is a clinical exercise physiologist by profession. Michelle Stevens has type one diabetes and her job involves helping diabetic patients. She helps them choose exercise, which could be of therapeutic benefit. She helps the patients navigate through life by changing their lifestyle and adjusting to what their body demands. She calls herself a professional diabetic. She talks about diabetes in general, the symptoms which lead to her diagnosis of diabetes and the difference between type-1 diabetes and type-2 diabetes. She also talks about her business idea in which she helps diabetic patients. She helps type-1 diabetes patients, type-2 diabetes patients and people who think they are at a risk.
Michelle discusses the challenges and difficulties she faced after she was diagnosed. However, all of it eventually led to her being a professional diabetic, someone who could help other people with the same struggle. She also discussed how the disease transformed her life and made her a very responsible person at a very early age. She believes the disease has given her a great insight to human body and she is dedicated to help other people and to make them aware of the disease as well
