78: Moving Abroad with Kerri O’Loane
Have you ever moved abroad? Leaving your home town and continue your life in a completely different city? I’m sure many of us have traveled to other parts of the world for leisure or business purposes, yet moving abroad is very different than traveling. When you move abroad, it is a long-term shift in the place you live, the people you interact with, and basically the life you lead moving forward. You will need to embrace the local culture, be it language or way of life.
The guest for today’s episode have done that and she’s here today to share her experience. Her name is Kerri O’Loane, a self-love coach from Ireland who currently lives in Romania due to her partner’s work commitment there. Kerri is on a self-love revolution to help people to love, accept and embrace who they are. She believes her work will help raising the awareness of self-love, thus creating a ripple effect which will eventually spread to all the people in the world.
Some of the things that Kerri has shared in today’s episode are as follows:
* Her story behind her journey – From living in her home country, Ireland, to moving abroad to different cities in different countries.
* How she feels about Romania, the country she currently lives in, on the differences in culture and weather as compared to her home country
* How she thinks moving to Romania has given her the chance to explore other countries in Europe
* The language barrier issue she faced while living in Romania and how she choose to overcome this resistance
* How saying yes to the opportunities of moving abroad has given her the chance to transform her life by meeting new people and experiencing new cultures.
