Little Seed--Big Tree
Matthew 13:31-35
In the 1st parable, the seed is the Word of God (the Scriptures) and when the pure word of God is sown in the hearts of the people who are prepared to hear it--it produces a wonderful and bountiful harvest.

In the 2nd parable, the seeds represent the "sons of Righteousness" In other words, God sows US into the world to change the world and to let people know what He can do in their lives--as He has in ours.

To be the effect the church will have on the world. Now, today's parable, the seed in the story seems to represent the church. The focus of the parable appears.

"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." --Isaiah 55:6

"Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare." --Isaiah 55:1-2

"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Although it is the smallest of all of seeds, when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches." --Matthew 13:31-32

"Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities." --Isaiah 54:2-3
