Palm Sunday
Here is a rundown of what happened the past week.
On Monday I went to Target and purchased “The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer”.
On Tuesday I had the experience of my life. What happened? Well, I was on my way home from my economics class. I was driving, my dad was in the passenger seat, and my sister, Kim, was in the backseat. It was dark and I was going down the big hill on Racine Ave.(direction of travel was south) when suddenly I caught something on the left side of the road moving across the street and slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting about 10 deer. Luckily no one was behind me, and I stopped in time to watch a group of deer move past, running shoulder to shoulder.
Wednesday had nothing that exciting unless you want to call track practice that.
Thursday was even less exciting as I was putting together a patch for my table runner. Yes, I do sewing and quilting. This particular project was for 4-H, in which I get paid money and judged on how well I?did on it,?to show it at the Waukesha County Fair.
On Friday I won the Incredibles game I bought on Monday (Amazing how fast a game goes by when you are a game geek. *Winks at Sam S.) My review on it was average for normal people but for me it was cake. Major kudos will be dished out when I can finally get my hands on a copy of?Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth?2. I also watched my favorite creationist speaker Kent Hovind.
On Saturday I went with Mom, Kim, Zak, and Jeremy to play at a violin concert. We are a part of The Magnificent Performing Strings that is growing more popular everyday(I designed the website). At this particular concert we played at the Milwaukee Public Museum, right in front of the butterfly room. The Mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett, was also there and watched us for a bit. In the evening me, Kim, and Zak were on a bike ride when something happened. We were biking past a house, me in the lead, when a bird popped up out of nowhere and started flying away. Too bad it startled me, because I then startled it.?It turned to fly away from me when it ran smack into the house wall. Of course it was stunned and it looked like it wanted to twist its head off, but I had to keep it steady to prevent that. Problem came when the bird tried flying away and repeatedly crashed into the ground. The bird eventually settled down and came out of being stunned. We all laughed at the hilarity of the situation, and when we got home our parents thought the same.
Sunday had a great church service(e-mail me if you want the sermon notes)?and our movie group got together to brainstorm our next movie(no luck though). I drove around today practicing parallel parking for the big test to get my drivers license that will take place a couple weeks from now. (Still rusty on that parking job). As a note, I drove aound the entire week collecting hours for the test aforementioned.
Well, that was my week in a nutshell. Now I’m off to watch a movie(Dreamer) my sister got.
