Jim was diagnosed with type I diabetes at 17 years old and spent 35 years coping with the disease. After facing near failure of his heart and kidney he underwent surgeries spanning over 2 years to replace his heart, kidney and pancreas. This lead him to be cured of his diabetes and lifelong ailments. Now Jim dedicates his life to sharing his story and spreading hope to others. In addition to his stepping into the limelight as a speaker, Jim also runs a successful steel company based out of California, and has been doing so for the last 30 years.
