Many people are living this reality. People choose their addiction their addictions don't choose them. Sometime the love for the addiction outweighs the love for self and the significant other. The love you have for people who are addicted won't change, fix, or save them. You can only save, fix, or change yourself. It is hard dealing with people who are addicted especially when they don't want to change.
