The huge Medicare fraud scheme made headlines in March 2021 when the feds arrested Mokbel. Shortly after the arrest, details emerged about how he used the millions of scammed funds to purchase expensive assets. Among the assets, Ferraris, a $2-million mansion in Houston, and a 12-story building in Egypt. Investigations ongoing, Mohamed is under house arrest in his $2-million home and police released ElSafty on bond the same day of his arrest.
