The moment an agent gets their license they start receiving an never ending barrage of completing messages...like...buy leads, form a team, join a team, work on your brand, create a website...etc etc. Its no wonder why there is a whole generation of agents who have never been told let alone KNOW how to proactively lead generate. The simple fact is, there are only 5 things in real estate you must master in real estate...and none of those things have anything to do with buying leads and branding (etc). OH, the best part proactive lead generation doesn't cost you anything.
