Read it and Weep
Perfume by Patrick Suskind reviewed with Caitlin Gill
Grenouille is an evil baby with no scent born in a pile of fish guts. So later if he maybe, kinda, sorta becomes a serial killer to collect the smells of teenage girls into one incredible perfume, you at least know he had a tough life. While Perfume: It's Got The Stank Of Murder is an immoral and overly described book, you can't say the ending is predictable. It takes a wacky turn that would surprise even M. Night Shyamalan when a killer's hanging becomes a super orgy.
