October 17, 2019

7 Commonly heard pieces of financial advice that I completely disagree with, what’s wrong with it, and what I think we should do instead. By noticing assumptions we have about what we should be doing with our finances, or worse, what we think everyone else is doing with their money, we can evaluate what effect those assumptions are having on our lives.Though this little action, we’re being present with our money and our decisions around our finances. Often, the rhetoric prior generations passed on to us isn’t necessarily beneficial, and it’s up to us to recognize that and take action on what we think will create positive change. Along these same lines, let’s take notice of stories we tell ourselves about what “everyone” does or doesn’t do.
