President Trump named former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as his pick to be his Attorney General. This happened today, November 21, 2024, after Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from the nomination. Bondi is 59 and Gaetz is 42. Both are great nominees for anything. Bondi should sail right through confirmation. Gaetz has great possibilities lying before him. He can choose to be sworn back in to his House seat, to which he was re-elected on Nov. 5. Or, he could be chosen by Gov. DeSantis, with President Trump’s blessing, to take Marco Rubio’s vacating Senate seat. Or, President Trump may have another appointment in mind for Gaetz. I especially like the ring of “Senator Matt Gaetz”.
