Did Hercules Want to be Jesus?

July 08, 2020

Do you know the similarities in the stories of Hercules and Jesus?

Both are claimed to be born of a virgin, as infants escaped death, were commissioned for divine duties, overcame temptation from supernatural forces, both called “son of God/god,” were servants, and both were betrayed by a loved one who hung themselves because of remorse, and both proclaimed “It is Finished” before they died.
Remembrance is a legacy, and a legacy is very powerful. It is not your legacy; it is Jesus’ legacy that is important since your legacy will be remembered for a short time, whereas the legacy of Jesus lasts forever.
Bibleman is currently a cartoon series and a great show for children ages 5 to 12. Bibleman is based upon wearing the armor of God and teaching children how the Word of God will help defeat the evil schemes of Satan.
Next time your child wants to play dress up, help them put on the armor of Christ! Ephesians 6:11-19 lists the items: The belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit.
State some bible verses in your dialogue while you are playing with your child.
Bibleman.com is a website that has free skits that you can print out for various Bible stories, that include the name of the characters and their lines of dialogue.
