Activists arrested in Moscow for trying to host a pride parade. During the incident, around 30 counter-demonstrators threw eggs at those participating in the pride parade. It is understood that the rally was not authorised in advanced, and that a Moscow court had banned them from demonstrating.

Norway could enact some of the most progressive transgender youth laws in the world, the proposal would formally allow children ages 7 and up to change their gender with parental consent. those 16 and older can do so on their own. The change would affect identity documentation such as passports, but not extend to reassignment surgery. under Swedish law, a person must be 18 years or older to seek reassignment surgery.

The worlds smallest nation legalized gay marriage. The Pitcairn islands, located in the pacific, legalized same sex marriage back in May, but a technical issue kept the information from appearing on their website.

A man could be jailed for trying to hook up on tender in Egypt. A Syrian refugee fled to Egypt and allegedly used the app to hook up. the person he met, though, was an undercover officer from Egypt's morality police. the man was arrested and and charged with inciting debauchery and solicitation to commit immoral acts in public, charges which the man denies.
