Up + Adam with Adam Montiel
Sustainable Style: Thrifty Beaches’ Boldly Brings Personality and Pre-Loved Spirit Downtown SLO
In this episode of Up+Adam, we get an exclusive inside look at Thrifty Beaches, the new headquarters for vintage shopping in downtown San Luis Obispo before the public opening this weekend. Co-owner Adam Kemp took me on a tour of the massive new 28k+ sq ft space on Higuera Street, formerly Beverly’s Fabrics and Crafts, as they prepare for their grand opening this weekend.
Adam shares his bold plans for the store, which includes unique art installations, clever fitting rooms, and a focus on both buying and selling ‘pre-loved’ clothing. Adam talks about the challenges of expanding into such a large space, but his passion for sustainable fashion and the local community shines through in every detail of this venture.
Thrifty Beaches is ready to make its mark on San Luis Obispo’s fashion scene.
