Stephen Hoffmann is the Assistant Head of the Department of Chemistry at Purdue University and his role involves overseeing Graduate Admissions to the department. Through the interview, he explained trace metals and some methods of researching them. He advises students to make clear goals on their college application statements and for those who get into college, to seek out faculty to find research and other opportunities in the areas in which they are interested.
