Episode 14 of A Podful of Saints sees podsters Jake and Dave steer the ship in a different direction from usual, as a specially extended edition features a lengthy conversation with acclaimed local sports writer and journalist Ian Ridley.

Ian, in addition to tracing his life as a writer and the early days as a player, looks back in detail at his two spells at St Albans City and his time with Weymouth and Salisbury. The former Saints chairman also shares his thoughts on the current situation at Clarence Park and his hopes for the future.

Prior to chatting with Ian there will be one usual feature with Jake and Dave reviewing the Saints most recent match, this time at home to Bath City on 19th October. There will also be a short preview of Tuesday’s (22nd October) Herts Charity Cup tie at Hemel Hempstead Town and next Saturday’s (26th October) National League South game at Welling United.
