Grace From Cradle to the Grave
The Incarnation plays a significant role in human history. As we celebrate Christmas this season, let us recall the greatest Christmas gift we could ever receive, the gift of Jesus himself, the second person in the Trinity, God who became flesh in order save the world. He came to be under the law so that he could fulfil it for us. Without the Incarnation, Christ could not really die, and the cross is meaningless. Jesus’ birth is rooted in God’s sovereignty, His promises and His grace. This grand, glorious and Holy God humbled himself and became personable in the person of Jesus and while He remained perfect, we observe that those in His genealogy who remain far from it. This reassures the believer of the grace of God that extends to us in times of self doubt and reveals that being a Christian doesn’t require perfection but humility.
