Grave Joy

May 07, 2017

An encounter with God’s holiness will inspire grave joy in our hearts. Unlike levity, holy joy is sober. It causes us to cry, “Woe is me!” as we see our own uncleanness and God’s holiness. As a result, we cherish the body of Christ and the lost. Instead of biting others, we love them and lay our lives down for them.
When we thus encounter God’s holy presence, and it transforms us, we can reach the lost for Jesus. Is the grave joy of God in your heart today?
