S6E35: The Greater Moncton Highland Games brings Scottish culture, family fun to downtown
Mark you calendars for June 15 - the Highland Games are back & filled with fun for the whole family!
More than 250 competitors will be on site for the 18th annual event, held at the Hal Betts Sportsplex in downtown Moncton. There will be highland dancing, bagpipes & drums, heavy events, a 5k fun run, sword fighting, bouncy castles, petting zoo, food trucks, vendors, music, and more! The Games are host to the 2024 CSAF Junior Championships, with several local teen athletes taking part.
Fun fact: Jenna is actually the event manager, so she's in the guest spot this episode!

● Tuesday, June 11 – Free community concert (with Fundy Ceilidh) & Opening Ceremonies in Moncton’s Victoria Park (7pm)
● Wednesday, June 12 – Flag raisings at Riverview Town Hall (11am) and Moncton City Hall (Noon), with a free community concert (with Dunnett Highland Dancers & Sons of Gael) at the Riverfront Gazebo in Riverview (7pm)
● Saturday, June 15 – Full day of events and activities on the grounds at Hal Betts Sportsplex. Gates open at 8am, most demonstrations underway by 10am. Closing ceremonies with Massed Pipebands at 5:30pm, followed by entertainment by Farraige until 9pm.
● Admission is $10/person on Saturday; 12 & under free.
