In today's image, we see the star forming region known as the Eagle Nebula. In the center of this, we see a newly formed cluster of stars. These stars are in the process of eating away at the remaining material which continues to try to form stars. Eventually, the gas and dust will be pushed away leaving behind only the star cluster.
