2023 March 22 - M31: The Andromeda Galaxy

March 22, 2023

In today's image, we see the Andromeda Galaxy, also known as M31. This is the nearest large spiral galaxy to our own Milky Way and is the most distant object that can be easily seen with the naked eye. Detailed studies of Andromeda and other similar galaxies can help us better understand out own Milky Way Galaxy.

The date stated in the podcast is incorrect. I state March 21 when it should be March 22.
