In today's image, we see the asteroid Bennu which was visited by the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft a couple of years ago. The spacecraft collected a sample of the asteroid which is now on its way back to Earth for more detailed study. This is scheduled to arrive in September of this year. Samples of asteroids like this can give us a look into the material that was present in the early solar system when planets like Earth were forming.
