2023 February 22 - Our Increasingly Active Sun

February 22, 2023

In today's image, we see an image of our Sun taken in the light of hydrogen. The Sun is coming out of a solar minimum of activity just a couple of years ago where few sunspots or other signs of activity were visible. It is expected that the Sun will become more active over the coming years and we will see more prominences and solar flares.
