In today's image, we see an image taken by the astronauts from the Apollo 14 mission from February of 1971. This was toward the end of the mission as they were preparing to leave the Moon's surface to rendezvous with the command module. We can see their view of the lunar surface including many footprints and tracks in the lunar soil which would still be there today.
