2023 August 26 - Crescents of Venus

August 26, 2023

In today's image, we see seven images of Venus taken over the past few months showing how it changed from a quarter phase in May to a very thin crescent earlier this month. It recently passed between Earth and Sun in a configuration called inferior conjunction and will now be visible at the morning star for the remainder of the year.
