NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day
2023 June 22 - Stars and Dust Across Corona Australis
In today's image, we see part of the region around the constellation of the southern crown. This is part of a molecular cloud and star forming region. On the left side, we see a dark nebula where starlight is blocked out by the dust. on the right, we see reflection nebulae where light from hot stars is scattered off of dust around them.
