Brewery Spotlight Podcast: Papago Brewing Company
Papago Brewing has a long history of introducing the Valley to unique, exotic and rare beers that you couldn’t find anywhere else in Arizona. The south Scottsdale hangout was the original craft beer bottle shop go-to for beer lovers back in the early 2000’s, until it shuttered in 2016.
Leah Huss was the owning and managing partner at Papago until 2013 when she and her husband Jeff opened Huss Brewing in Tempe. Over the past ten years, Huss has grown to become the third largest craft brewery in Arizona and owns the Papago brand.
On this episode, Johann and Matt interview Jeff and Leah Huss inside the reborn Papago Brewing Company in its brand new location at Mesa Riverview (Dobson and Loop 202). We explore the rich legacy of Papago, Huss’ growth in the past decade and Jeff and Leah’s journey on the Arizona craft beer scene.
