031 - God Told Me He Isn't Done: Tahkai Martin

April 23, 2020

Tahkai Martin is your friendly neighborhood college guy—the homie: a resident assistant and everyone’s favorite supporter. Tahkai, however, has seen death at a young age, losing his mother to an extremely rare disease by the time he was 11 years old. He stumbled around in high school and even caught a few charges from law enforcement—all of which, were waived for a reason, he believes. It was his Caribbean upbringing, his belief in God, and the unrelenting support of his father that have kept Tahkai on his path to greatness. Barely a sophomore in college, Tahkai has plenty of wisdom to share and people to inspire. In this episode, Tahkai speaks up about what he believes is his role in people’s lives, his journey to finding himself, and finding a reason to keep on living. He believes the biggest smiles hide the biggest pain.
