Today Animal Wise Radio digs deep into the companion animal welfare world - with an eye on reform and progressive change. We're pleased to meet Jane Pierantozzi, Exec. Dir. of Faithful Friends No Kill Shelter in Deleware. She helped bring Shelter Reform changes to Deleware via the legislative Process (FaithfulFriends.us). We will talk about Deleware's sheltering landscape since 2010, and how Minnesota's legislature is considering its own version of the Companion Animal Protection Act (MN CAPA.)

We'll also hear from Scott Giacoppo, VP of External Affairs for Washington Humane Society as he talks about how policy changes have made an impact at their large, metro open admission shelter (WashHumane.org).

Michael Mountain from Earth In Transition brings us updates about California legislative efforts and Orca's and the work of the Non Human Rights Project. (EarthInTransition.org)
