Animal Wise Radio delivers a packed show today as Mike and Beth meet with two powerhouse guests.
Bonney Brown, current on faculty with University of the Pacific's No-Kill Shelter Management Certificate Program, and Principle Consultant and Founder of Humane Network is our guest in the first hour of the show. We'll talk about the first ever No-Kill Shelter Mgmnt. Program and how they seek to build knowledge, skills and leadership for animal shelter professionals wanting to understand the no-kill model and how to successfully implement programs for life saving in animal shelters.
Based on successes Bonney Brown achieved as Exec. Dir. at Nevada Humane Society in creating a no-kill community in Reno, NV, HumaneNetwork.org, is another way Bonney is professionally networking with animal shelters, offering mentoring, consulting and program planning for shelters striving for life saving.
Michael Mountain also joins us live to talk about the latest news from the Non-Human Rights Project (Non-HumanRightsProject.org) Along with his writing and advocacy with EarthInTransition, Michael has been following this evolving and fascinating story of court filings, submitted on behalf of four captive chimpanzees in NY state, petitioning for their right to bodily liberty as "legal persons."
