Animal Wise Radio looks close up at the nuts and bolts of shelter reform and access legislation in two areas of the country. How has Austin, TX and the state of Deleware each implemented and applied the vision of the Companion Animal Protection Act (CAPA?)

We'll learn from Larry Tucker, current member of the Austin Animal Advisory Commission, about the benchmarks, challenges and results marked at the two year anniversary of a No-Kill Austin.

In the state of Delaware, where their version of CAPA was passed in 2010, Faithful Friends Animal Society spearheaded efforts to present and pass the legislation. Jane Pierantozzi, Exec. Dir. of Faithful Friends (FaithfulFriends.US) will walk us through the history and story of Delaware's implementation of this legislation. We'll look at CAPA from all angles.

Michael Mountain from EarthInTransition.org writes about the patron saint of animals, St. Francis of Assisi, and wonders how the new pope will wear the name.
