Episode 58 – The Disneyland Paris Special Edition
Well, we're back after taking a couple of weeks away from podcasting for our Easter break, and today's show is unashamedly dedicated to our Disneyland Paris holiday that we took in that time.
We talk about the booking process, and why we made the choices that we did in terms of transportation and accomodation. We stayed at the Davy Crockett Ranch which, although technically a Disney hotel, is about 15 minutes drive away from the parks. This meant that we had to drive all the way. We cover the practicalities of a long drive with our kids, and also what we thought of breaking the journey with an overnight stay at the Premier Inn in Dover.
Then we move onto the serious business of the Disneyland Paris experience. From Dreams, the firework and light show spectacular to the parades to the rides we talk about all the things we got up to.
Our absolute favourite ride was the Ratatouille ride. Three out of the four of us loved the Rock and Roller Coaster as well (poor David was too short to ride this one). There was a mixed reaction to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - find out which of us would be prepared to ride it again and which wouldn't.
As far as meals are concerned we loved the character interactions at Cafe Mickey, the Auberge de Cendillon and Inventions. We also talk about the meal plans offered by Disney and whether they're a good buy or not.
