Parental Geekery

Episode 41 - Drama and Bedtime Stories

March 26, 2014

Welcome back to another episode of Parental Geekery, which like last week is also available on YouTube. In this episode we talk about Ruth’s recent return to the stage, and what John thinks of her wearing makeup.

We talk about changes to our bedtime routine, and go on to talking about bedtime stories. We’ve recently started reading the kids some David Walliams titles which we are all enjoying. We talk about good books for kids who are learning to read, and then talk a bit about the Independent’s recent decision to not review books specifically made for girls or for boys.

We’ve been playing Yoshi’s New Island thanks to Ruth’s role as a Nintendo family blogger, and have also recently been taking advantage of the Wii-U tablet play facility when one child wants to watch TV and the other wants to play Disney Infinity.

We also talk about the release of the Chromecast in the UK, and John’s been watching House of Cards on Amazon Prime Video.

This episode is also available on YouTube here.
