Parental Geekery
Parental Geekery episode 23 - out of date already
Welcome back to another episode of Parental Geekery, which is out of date before it’s even published. More about that later…
John talks about his “Dad bloggers” evening out with Harman – you can read more about this on Ruth’s blog.
We got a preview of the new Sea Life Centre in Manchester and talk about that. John managed to get Google+ to make a really cool animated GIF of Catherine watching the fish.
David celebrated his 3rd birthday at the end of May, and we talk about what we did.
John gives a quick review of Epic, which he took Catherine to see.
We run down the main announcements from Apple’s recent WWDC event – there’s a new Mac Pro and iOS 7 is coming. Ruth mentions the rather fun Tumblr blog Jony Ive Redesigns Things.
We’ve been sent the Huawei W1 windows phone to try, and we give our thoughts on this budget smartphone.
Finally we recap the recent Xbox One and PlayStation 4 announcements. This is where we’re out of date already, as since we recorded this episode Microsoft have announced they will no longer require Internet connection, and will allow trading of games. Which is good news.
We’ve been watching Arrow and playing Jagged Alliance Online and Warhammer Quest. John is also keen to find anyone willing to have a game of Go with him at Dave Peck’s Go
