Join us for a discussion of our first Nobel Prize winner, Oe Kenzaburo, and his first novel, Nip the Buds, Shoot the Kids. In part one we get a glimpse at wartime Japan from the eyes of young reformatory boys and have our first taste of Oe's distinct grotesque realist style.
