Creativity Outside the "Bots"
Will human creativity become obsolete, with the advent of AI?
Absolutely not, says cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Adam Green.
In fact, he says, quite the opposite is true.
Adam, who is the Co-Founder of the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity, will be giving a presentation on Thursday, October 9th, at the Center for BrainHealth® in Dallas, Texas.
The title: "Unleashing Imagination: The Creative Brain and AI".
And Adam, who also serves as both the Editor-in-Chief of the Creativity Research Journal and the Lab Director at Georgetown University's Lab for Relational Cognition, will be drawing on his considerable background in exploring the brain processes behind learning and human creativity.
A milestone for SFNC
2025 marked the ten-year anniversary of the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity. The mission of this professional society, according to their website, is to "foster advances in all areas of creativity research", and to communicate these research findings.
The goal? A better world, in all aspects of our lives including education, industry and the arts.
Members of SFNC include scientists, academics, businesspeople and, of course, members in the creative disciplines. As they continue exploring the various aspects of creativity, SFNC offers a number of virtual and in-person events, and they're also inviting "Creativity Moonshot Ideas" from everyone, for their 2026 conference!
Adam talked about his background, shared some of his findings on creativity and discussed the ways creatives can implement artificial intelligence to enhance, as opposed to replacing, their talents.
