Our Outside EP01: Celebrating Bringing the Unlikely to the Outdoors
Our Outside is brought to you by our partners at Eukanuba Sporting Dog

What is Our Outside Podcast and what do we value as individuals and as an organization? We ask ourselves as your hosts, and the founders of our nonprofit, Minority Outdoor Alliance, a number of key questions that we think may give our growing audience context and clarity on what it means to Bring the Unlikely to the Active Outdoors, while simultaneously defining what the active, sporting outdoors means. We touch on some highlights from the 2021 Minority Outdoor Alliance Festival and some of the major takeaways from such a momentous, inaugural event. Throughout the episode, we hope to give you a glimpse into our future plans and initiatives to continue creating conversations that will lead to more diversity, equity, and inclusion in the active outdoors, and encourage more communities of color to participate in the conversation of land and water conservation.
In this Episode:
Review of the Inaugural Minority Outdoor Alliance Festival
Bringing the Unlikely to the Outdoors- what does this mean?
The Need to Address Conservation and Bring Minorities to the Conversation & How?
On the next Episode of OUR OUTSIDE, we will continue to dive into the conservation conversations in communities of color, elaborating more on the 7 Pillars of the North American Model of Conservation. For supporting material from our discussion, take a look through our show notes for links and references. We will release episodes of OUR OUTSIDE bi-weekly, with guests sharing their vast knowledge and experiences advocating for diversity in our active outdoor communities, so please subscribe to our podcast, and visit us at minorityoutdooralliance.org. And while you’re there, donate to the Alliance and our initiatives. We again, want to thank you for tuning in, and helping us continue Bringing the Unlikely to the Active, Sporting Outdoors.
