January 16, 2017

SHOW NOTES

Hello everyone! Welcome to Take 007: “In search of freedom; television journalist turns entrepreneur. How Susy Solis jumped off the cliff to go on her own and start a business”.
Susy Solis is a bilingual journalist with more than a decade of broadcasting experience. After forging a successful career as a television news reporter and anchor, Susy decided to chase her dream and become an entrepreneur.

In 2014 she decided to quit her job to found Solis Media Strategies. Her company helps businesses discover their message and present it to the world.
Susy had to face her fears, learn how to manage money and run a business. But the reward was worth it.  She gained “the freedom and happiness that she never felt as an employee”.
Three years later, a lot has been learned and a lot is to be shared with us. I truly hope you enjoy this conversation and feel inspired to pursue your dreams!

Special Thanks
In this episode of One Take I also acknowledge and recognize many people who have supported this project.
Thank you, Susy, for receiving the idea of what ended up becoming this podcast with enthusiasm, and for offering your support. Susy told me: “if this idea is keeping you up at night, you have to do it”.  And it was.
Weeks later, with a lot of work and many hours watching tutorials on YouTube, One Take was born.
Like her, so many other people have inspired me to make this happen. Some people that I know personally, and some that I don’t. Regardless, I want to thank people that have either way, encouraged me to create this blog and podcast.
Special thanks to Pat Flynn of www.smartpassiveincome.com. His tutorial series on how to create a podcast, walked me step-by-step through the process. Turns out, it is a lot more complicated to publish a podcast than I originally thought! However, the more you do it the easier it gets.
I’ve not met Pat in person but I feel like I know him because I have listened to so many of his podcast episodes and read so many of his blog posts, that I feel like he is talking directly to me.
If you are interested on creating a podcast check out Pat’s tutorial series.

A special shout out to Chris Michael Harris, serial entrepreneur and host of the Entrepreneur Hour podcast.
After connecting on Twitter, Chris has shared so much of his podcast production knowledge with me, he has connected me on Facebook with a great group of fellow podcasters, and he has also invited me to be a featured guest on his show!
Chris I will always be thankful for your generosity and support !
Connect with Chris and check out his website and podcast:

And to you, the reader and the listener, I thank with all my heart! You guys make this possible! I am going to hold on to you to continue to make of One Take a meaningful podcast!
Whatever your dream is, I am here to tell you this: You can make it happen. Seek knowledge and surround yourself with supporters. Embrace them. Hold on to them. There are more people in this world that want to see you succeed that you even realize!
