My Favorite Song in 2016
My favorite song in 2016 was Snow (Hey Oh) by Red Hot Chili Peppers. I love the guitar and drums arrangement at the beginning of the song. It fires me up! Although it was a 2006 hit, it was one of the songs that I listened to the most in 2016.

Favorite Book I read in 2016
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey is my favorite book I read in 2016. This book has so much wisdom. When I started reading it, I realized that this book was the roadmap for the lifestyle that I want to live. I want to center my life around principles such as integrity, excellence and prioritizing my family over anything else.
Favorite Place I Visited in 2016
In 2016 we were very fortunate to travel to several places in the United States. We visited Houston, San Antonio and Austin in Texas. Also, we went to Kansas and Oklahoma and took a road trip to Panama City Beach, in Florida. In the summer we visited New Orleans, in Louisiana and went to my home town of Guadalajara, Mexico and spent a week at my favorite beach: Puerto Vallarta.
But the most magical place that I visited this summer was Oak Alley Plantation outside of New Orleans, in Louisiana.
The sugar cane plantation is a majestic site situated in the banks of the Mississippi river. This is a place that tells the story of history, if that makes any sense. The plantation has witnessed many historic events, such as  the civil war, slavery,  floods and draught. You can actually see a recreation of the deplorable conditions that slaves lived in and compare it to the lavish lifestyle that the plantation owners enjoyed.
Favorite Podcast in 2016

* EntreLeadership by Ramsey Solutions. Hosted by Ken Coleman.

If you want to become a better leader, this is the podcast you need to listen to. Enough said!
