In this episode we’ll be talking to Dr. Stevie Dawn Blakely . I met Stevie a few weeks ago, at work. She came to talk to the women’s group about Emotional Intelligence.
When I first read the announcement of her visit and the topic of her presentation, I wondered… Emotional Intelliwhat? I had never heard that term before! Her presentation was entertaining. The content was engaging.  I Immediately knew it; I must invite Stevie to be on One Take!
Dr. Dawn describes Emotional Intelligence as the ability of being effective in your communication by using your emotions. Whether that be restraining them or expressing them. It’s realizing that emotions impact us. We need to become aware of that to control them.
