The Great Invocation

July 22, 2020

The ‘Great Invocation’ is a World Prayer, an invocation for light and love. It’s an ancient formula for the use of mankind to invoke the energies which will change our world. Originally written in 1945, it has been translated into many languages & is used daily by millions of people. There are several versions which have been modified to reflect the world’s changing consciousness.
Our kirtan set this week consists of chants that support the vision of the Great Invocation, invoking peace, love & right relationships all over the world. The set is a bit longer than usual, the Yoga Nidra meditation at the end is beautiful — it’s one of our favorites.
Here’s the music in this week’s set:
Deva Premal & Miten: 21-day Mantra Meditation, Day 13, Happiness
Edo & Jo: Kirtan Alive — Om Shanti
Mirabai Ceiba: Sacred Love Meditations — Humee Hum, The Other Is You
Brenda McMorrow: Igniting the Beauty — Loka Samasta/Om Shanti
Donna De Lory: Sanctuary — Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu
Blue Spirit Wheel: Tridevi — Om Shantih
Johanna Beekman: Heart Beats One — Om Shanti (Peace In Our Hearts)
Shiva Rea: Drops of Nectar [Disc 2] — Yoga Nidra: Yogic Relaxation
THE GREAT INVOCATION
“From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ (consciousness) return to Earth.
From the center where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Planet Earth.”
Until next time, dear hearts. Namaste.
