On her 14th birthday in 1985, Susan gets a tape recorder. She, along with friends Virginia and Mary Jo, record themselves talking about what happened over the summer and their upcoming Freshman year.
(Actual) Dr. Olivia Brownstone found a box of audio cassette tapes in her mother’s attic. Part nostalgia, part coming-of-age, these recordings labeled “Neon Clubhouse” feature her mother and friends talking about life in the 1980s.
